Board Game Experience Activity at Hong Kong Book Fair 2023

HKHS has designed an educational board game, which is the first of its kind in Hong Kong developed along the theme of the city’s housing development journey. The innovative board game made its debut during the "Hong Kong Book Fair 2023 ", allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the game at HKHS’s booth. Designed by HKHS, the board game features textual information with images to tell the stories of HKHS’s rental estates and its various housing projects, integrating the knowledge of Hong Kong’s housing ladder, sustainability as well as intergenerational solidarity.

HKHS’s booth at the Book Fair was specially designed, with references to Sheung Li Uk, the first rental estate built by HKHS in Hong Kong. It also featured a board game experience zone. The exhibition booth attracted nearly 50,000 visitors, with almost 300 individuals participating in the experiential workshop. An extended school outreach programme will be hosted in the fourth quarter of 2023 to further engage the younger generation.
