The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) was presented with the honour of “Prestigious Brand” at “The Hong Kong Classic Brand Awards 2018” (the Awards) organised by the East Week, in recognition of its social mission and contribution to the housing development in Hong Kong over the past seven decades.
The judging criteria of the Awards took into consideration the brands’ history, reputation, vision and mission, contribution to the Hong Kong community, as well as its connection with the people’s livelihood. It aims to give commendation to local brands that have been established for 25 years or above with remarkable contribution to the prosperity and development of Hong Kong. The “Prestigious Brand” award is set to acclaim brands with a history of no less than 50 years.
HKHS Chairman Walter Chan said at the presentation ceremony held on 19 September, “This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the HKHS which makes it a very special moment to receive the Award. I would like to thank the Government and stakeholders from different sectors, including our Members, staff, residents, the industry and media friends, for their support to HKHS. Playing a unique role of “Housing Laboratory”, we will continue to develop housing projects and pilot schemes to meet the housing needs of Hong Kong people, such as redevelopment of rental estates, elderly housing and transitional housing.”
Walking along with every one of Hong Kong in the past 70 years, HKHS being the first non-government housing organisation has been providing housing and related services for the Hong Kong people in tandem with the changes in society while adhering to our four core values, namely “Customer”, “Quality”, “Talent” and “Prudence”. Looking forward, HKHS will uphold its belief in “Create Homes • Revive Communities” to serve the community in a resilient and innovative manner, in order to meet the people’s needs in housing and related services.
