Low-income Group 低收入長者
New Elderly Block at Rental Estate

Located at Jat Min Chuen in Sha Tin, Chung Yuet Lau was completed in March 2024. It is the first
elderly housing project constructed using steel Modular Integrated Construction (“MiC”) by the
Housing Society. The 10-storey building is adjacent to the low block of Ming Yiu Lau at Jat Min
Chuen, offering 64 age-friendly units for the accommodation of one to two persons. All units
have lower door curbs and are equipped with double door viewers, low-height kitchen cabinets
with rounded corner, and bathroom with sliding doors, shower chairs and handrails, to meet
the practical needs of the seniors and promote ageing in place.
Successful applicants who comply with the relevant requirements
throughout their tenancy will enjoy a lifetime exemption from full rent
and rates.
The Housing Society had received a total of 100 eligible applications
and all units have been selected. The first batch of residents started
to move in during the second quarter of 2024.
位於沙田乙明邨的松悅樓為房協首個採用鋼製「組裝合成」建築法(MiC)的
長者房屋項目,於二零二四年三月竣工。大樓樓高十層,毗鄰乙明邨明
耀樓低座,提供六十四個可供一至二人入住的長者友善單位。所有單位
均設低門檻、高低雙防盜眼、圓角設計低身廚櫃,以及浴室趟門、浴椅
及扶手等,以切合長者的實際需要,推動居家安老。成功申請的長者如
在租住期間符合相關免租規定,可享終身豁免全額租金和差餉。
房協共接獲一百份合資格申請,所有單位已被編配。首批居民已於二零
二四年第二季度開始入伙。
