            With the improvement of the overall living standard, a growing number of   ᎇഹ࠰ಥ዆᜗͛ݺ˥̻ҷഛdՈ௪ɓ֛຾
            elderly in Hong Kong are financially capable and have higher expectations   ᏶ঐɢٙϼϋɛɹ͵ʔᓙᄣڗd˼ࡁ࿁ৗ
            on retirement life. As such, the Housing Society pioneered yet another   ;͛ݺϞ༰৷ಂૐfΪϤdג՘০࿁வࡈ
            new elderly housing project targeted towards this niche on the market   ᐻქ̹ఙdක௴Όอٙڗ٫ג܊ධͦd˸
            which had not previously been filled despite the emerging demand.   ڎΥၾ˚ࡆᄣٙცӋf˜ཡࣀ™׵ɚཧɓʞ
            Completed in 2015, The Tanner Hill was a non-subsidised project to   ϋໝϓd᙮׵ڢ༟пג܊ධͦfৰə౤Զ
            provide quality elderly accommodation that was integrated with a full   Ꮄሯ֢ٙИᐑྤ̮d˜ཡࣀ™һ౤ԶΌ˙З
            range of care and supporting services, as well as comprehensive lifestyle   ๫ᚐၾ˕౪؂ਕd˸ʿҁ௪ٙ;ඝண݄f
            facilities. All 588 units were leased out in about two years after its launch,   ˜ཡࣀ™588ࡈఊЗʔШίධͦપ̈ߒՇϋܝ

            Recognising the trend of smaller households in the 2010s, the Housing   ΪᏐڐɤϋԸ࢕ࢬഐ࿴୚ʃʷٙᒈැdג
            Society has introduced the novel concept of “cross-generational   ՘પ̈૿Υό೯࢝ධͦdˏɝ˜ڗ̼΍ፄ™
            harmony” through a mixed tenure development project. This enables   ٙอ጑฿ׂfவࡈධͦৰə˿ɨɓ˾ԮϞ
            the younger generation to have its own living space yet allows their   ӷɛ͛ݺ٤ගʘቱdՉ˨͎͵̙֢׵ݮቌd
            parents to live nearby for convenient mutual support. Based on this   ˙کʝ޴๫Ꮠfג՘˸வࡈ࿃อٙ฿ׂ׵
            concept, Harmony Place in Shau Kei Wan was launched in 2015 with   ɚཧɓʞϋપ̈З׵⓳၎ᝄٙ˜ᆀፄ৐™d

            Challenges Ahead and the Way Forward                        展望未來  共迎挑戰

            Today, Hong Kong is facing the “double-ageing” problem affecting   ତࣛd࠰ಥ͍ࠦ࿁ɛɹʿג܊˜ᕐϼʷ™ٙ
            both its population and housing stock. In 2017, the Census and   ਪᕚf׵ɚཧɓɖϋdִ݁୕ࠇஈཫࠇϋ
            Statistics Department projected that the number of elderly persons   တ65๋א˸ɪٙϼɛᅰͦ׵ɚཧɧɖϋਗ਼
            aged 65 and above would more than double in 2037. Meanwhile,   ჈ᄣՇ࠴˸ɪfΝࣛd࣬ኽ࠰ಥ 2030+j
            according to the Hong Kong 2030+: Public Engagement, the percentage   ʮ଺ਞၾ‘d׵ɚཧɓʞϋЇɚཧ̬ʬϋಂ
            of housing stock over 70 years old will swell by a staggering 300 fold,   ගdᅽᙧ൴ཀ70ϋٙᅽρϵʱˢਗ਼ึܢᄣ
            from 1,100 private housing units to 326,000 units during the period   300࠴dऒʿٙӷɛᅽρఊЗᅰඎ͟ 1,100
