The role of the Special Committee on Investment is to establish ҳ༟तй։ࡰึࠋபމג՘ٙҳ༟Փࠈҳ
investment objectives and strategies for the Housing Society’s ༟ͦᅺʿഄଫeᏨীਖ਼ุਿږ຾ଣٙڌତd
investments. It reviews the performance of professional fund managers ˸ʿϽᅇ༟ପʱৣձ։໌ਖ਼ุਿږ຾ଣʿ
and considers the asset allocations and the appointment of professional ৄ၍ვБԫ֝dԨ౤ʹϞᗫܔᙄʚੂБ։
fund managers and custodian bank for the Executive Committee’s ࡰึᄲҭf
approval.
The Special Committee on Investment had seven members as at 1 April ࿚Їɚཧɓɖϋ̬˜ɓ˚dҳ༟तй։ࡰ
2017. At the Executive Committee meeting held on 20 July 2017, ึ΍ϞɖΤϓࡰf׵ɚཧɓɖϋɖ˜ɚɤ
Mr Stanley Wong Yuen-fai was appointed to the Special Committee on ˚ᑘБٙੂБ։ࡰึึᙄɪdරჃሾ΋͛
Investment for a one-year term of office to align with the tenure expiry ᐏ։΂މҳ༟तй։ࡰึϓࡰd΂ಂɓϋd
of this Special Committee in 2018. There were eight members on the ˸ৣΥϤतй։ࡰึਗ਼׵ɚཧɓɞϋ֣တ

During the year, the Special Committee on Investment held three ϋʫdҳ༟तй։ࡰึ΍ᑘБɧϣึᙄd
meetings with an overall attendance rate of 88 per cent. In addition to ዆᜗̈ࢩଟމϵʱʘɞɤɞfৰ္࿀ਿږ
monitoring the performance of our fund managers, the Special ຾ଣٙڌତ̮dҳ༟तй։ࡰึ͵ᄲቡə
Committee on Investment also reviewed the contracts of three fund ɧΤਿږ຾ଣٙΥߒʿอ΂ո֛ϗूʈՈ
managers and the appointment of a new fixed income manager for the ਿږ຾ଣٙ։໌ԫ֝dԨ౤ʹϞᗫܔᙄʚ

Special Committee on Elderly Housing 長者房屋特別委員會

The Special Committee on Elderly Housing was set up by the Executive ڗ٫ג܊तй։ࡰึ׵ɚཧཧɞϋ͟ੂБ
Committee in 2008 to give guidance and review the Management’s ։ࡰึϓͭdࠋபމג՘εࡈڗ٫ג܊ධ
proposals in respect of the various elderly housing initiatives of the ͦ౤Զܸˏʿᄲቡ၍ଣᄴ౤ʹٙ޴ᗫܔᙄd
Housing Society. These included the planning, schematic design, ຅ʕ଄ႊܔᙄ೯࢝ٙג՘ڗ٫ג܊ධͦٙ
financial feasibility and operational model of the proposed elderly ஝ྌe฿ׂணࠇeৌਕ̙Б׌ʿᐄ༶ᅼόf
housing projects to be undertaken by the Housing Society.

There were 12 members on the Special Committee on Elderly Housing ࿚Їɚཧɓɖϋ̬˜ɓ˚dڗ٫ג܊तй
as at 1 April 2017. At the AGM held on 5 September 2017, Dr Lam ։ࡰึ΍ϞɤɚΤϓࡰf׵ɚཧɓɖϋɘ
Ching-choi, having completed his one-year term of office, retired from ˜ʞ˚ᑘБٙմϋ։ࡰɽึɪd؍͍ৌᔼ
both the chairmanship and membership of this Special Committee and ͛ίҁϓɓϋ΂ಂܝৗ΂Ϥतй։ࡰึٙ
did not seek re-appointment. At the Executive Committee meeting ˴ࢩࡒϓࡰd˲ೌจరӋஹ΂f׵ɚཧɓɖ
held on 20 July 2017, Mr Timothy Ma Kam-wah and Dr Danny Wan ϋɖ˜ɚɤ˚ᑘБٙੂБ։ࡰึึᙄɪd
Tak-fai were appointed to this Special Committee for a one-year term of ৵ᎀശ΋͛ʿʙᅃሾ௹ɻᐏ։΂̋ɝϤत
office to align with the tenure expiry of this Special Committee in 2018. й։ࡰึd΂ಂɓϋd˸ৣΥϤतй։ࡰึ

Committee after he was re-appointed to the Executive Committee by ͵׵ɚཧɓɖϋɘ˜ʞ˚Ύᐏ္ԫึ։΂
the Supervisory Board on 5 September 2017. Mrs Peter Choy Pun މੂБ։ࡰึ։ࡰܝd̈΂Ϥतй։ࡰึ
Siu-fun resigned from this Special Committee as from 3 October 2017. ٙ˴ࢩfᇹᆙˇځɾɻІɚཧɓɖϋɤ˜
Mr Victor Chan Hin-fu was appointed to this Special Committee for a ɧ˚ৎᗘ΂Ϥतй։ࡰึϓࡰf׵ɚཧɓɖ
one-year term of office up to the 2018 AGM at the Executive Committee ϋɤɓ˜ɚɤɧ˚ᑘБٙੂБ։ࡰึึᙄ
meeting held on 23 November 2017. The Special Committee on Elderly ɪd௓ᜑလ΋͛ᐏ։΂̋ɝϤतй։ࡰึd
Housing comprised 13 members (including two ex officio members, ΂ಂɓϋdٜЇɚཧɓɞϋմϋ։ࡰɽึf
