measures to tackle the pressing housing needs. As one way to increase ცӋfίᄣ̋ཀನ׌ג܊˙ࠦdג՘ਗ਼પ
the supply of transitional housing, the Housing Society will launch a ̈΋ኬࠇྌdᜫ༟пג܊ࠇྌุ˴ʱॡՉ
pilot scheme to enable owners under our subsidised housing projects ͊໾ᄆఊЗʚϞცࠅ࢕ࢬfҢࡁ͍ၾִ݁
to sublet their flats with premium unpaid to families in need. We are ၡ੗ΥЪdࠇྌ׵ɚཧɓɞϋୋɧ֙પ̈
working closely with the Government with the target to launch the Ϟᗫࠇྌf
Scheme in the third quarter of 2018.

Ecological and Development Feasibility 郊野公園邊陲地帶的生態
Study on the Periphery of Country Parks 及發展可行性研究

In May 2017, the Government invited the Housing Society to undertake ɚཧɓɖϋʞ˜dִ݁ᒗሗג՘ఱʩࣦɽ
a technical and ecological study at two sites located on the periphery ᝃʿӍ͞˥ݰዦࠚ௉ʮ෤ᗙඦή੭ٙՇࡈ
of country parks in Tai Lam, Yuen Long, and Shui Chuen O, Sha Tin. ήᓃආБҦஔʿ͛࿒޼Ӻfג՘ίɚཧɓɖ
Having started the tender exercise in August 2017, we finalised the ϋɞ˜࢝කםᅺ೻ҏdԨ׵ɚཧɓɞϋ̬
consultant selection for the study in April 2018. ˜ҁϓ޼Ӻᚥਪٙ፮፯f

Initially, the appointed consultant must submit an inception report ᐏ։΂ٙᚥਪ඲׵ɧࡈ˜ʫ౤ʹڋᙄజѓd
within three months to confirm the study approach and methodology ˸ᆽ֛޼Ӻ˙Σe˙جʿʮ଺ਞၾٙഄଫ
together with the public engagement plans. ࠇྌf

The study, to be conducted in two phases, comprises firstly the Baseline ዆ࡈ޼Ӻਗ਼ʱՇࡈචݬආБd࠯චݬٙਿ
Studies encompassing an ecological assessment for all four seasons and ᇞ޼Ӻ଄ႊ̬֙ٙ͛࿒൙Пd˸ʿܔ܊̙
secondly a housing development feasibility study. The consultant is Б׌޼Ӻfཫࠇਿᇞ޼Ӻცࣛߒɤ̬ࡈ˜
expected to complete the Baseline Studies in about 14 months. If the ҁϓfνਿᇞ޼Ӻഐ؈ᜑͪૢ΁ቇΥЪג
results of the Baseline Studies are favourable, then Detailed Studies ܊೯࢝d˙ึආБމಂɤɚࡈ˜ٙ༉୚޼
would follow for a further 12 months. Ӻf

Once completed, we will submit the report of the study to the ޼Ӻҁϓܝd Ңࡁึਗ਼జѓ౤ʹʚִ݁
