The first of these projects is Ming Wah Dai Ha in Shau Kei Wan which ࠯ࡈࠠܔධͦމ׵ɓɘʬɚϋໝϓٙ⓳၎ᝄ
was built from 1962 supplying 2,516 flats. During the year, support from ׼ശɽขd΍౤Զ2,516ࡈఊЗfϋʫdג
the Eastern District Council and Planning Department had been ՘੻Ց؇ਜਜᙄึʿ஝ྌ໇˕ܵdΣ̹۬஝
secured such that the revised Master Layout Plan for Ming Wah Dai Ha ྌ։ࡰึ౤ʹ׼ശɽขୋɚಂʿୋɧಂٙ຾
Phases II and III was submitted to the Town Planning Board. Meanwhile, ࡌࠈᐼၤ೯࢝ᔝྡfΝࣛd׼ശɽขୋɓಂ
the first phase of construction has commenced, with completion ʈ೻ʊ࢝කdཫಂ׵ɚཧɓɘŊɚཧϋܓം
expected in 2019/20. Two new towers providing 966 flats for rehousing ʈfՇᄸอɽᅽɓ΍౤Զ966ࡈఊЗ͜Ъ֢
purposes will facilitate the second phase of redevelopment. ͏ࡡਜτໄd˸пආБୋɚಂࠠܔʈ೻f

To shorten the redevelopment programme so as to abate the nuisance މಯЭࠠܔ࿁ତϞИ˒ٙᅂᚤdԨးҞ༺ϓ
caused to existing tenants, and as well to satisfy the home ownership ̹͏ٙໄุᗴૐdג՘ʊࡌࠈ׼ശɽขୋɚ
aspirations of some tenants, the Housing Society revised the Master ಂʿୋɧಂࠠܔʈ೻ٙᐼၤ೯࢝ᔝྡd˸ᐵ
Layout Plan, mainly in respect of the second and third redevelopment ೵ࠠܔࠇྌٙࣛගfࡌࠈܼ̍ᓒɽୋɚಂٙ
phases. Significantly, the scale of demolition in Phase II will be װቋ஝ᅼd˸౤Զԑ੄ٙ̈ॡఊЗЪࡡਜτ
expanded to allow sufficient rental units to provide in-situ rehousing. ໄfϤධࡌࠈਗ਼ึ̋ҞሜቋʈЪd˸ಂ౤Ϙ
This would expedite the rehousing exercise to complete earlier in 2026. ׵ɚཧɚʬϋʫҁϓfЇ׵ୋɧಂʈ೻ۆਗ਼
In the third phase, 750 subsidised sale flats, an important component of ˸ܔͭໄุච૒މͦᅺd΍౤Զ750ࡈ༟п
the housing ladder, will be provided, thereby facilitating greater upward ̈ਯఊЗd̋੶ٟึචᄴΣɪݴਗ׌fΝ
mobility. Concurrently, 600 SEN flats will be built in response to the ࣛdג՘ਗ਼ጳܔ600ࡈ˜ڗ٫τ֢ᆀ™И܊
ageing population. ࠇྌఊЗdৣΥɛɹϼʷהცf

The second redevelopment project is the 56-year-old Yue Kwong ୋɚࡈࠠܔධͦމᅽᙧ56ϋٙ࠰ಥ˺ဝΈ
Chuen in Aberdeen. Presently, the Housing Society is securing the land Ӏfג՘͍މቌڐٙͩરᝄ༸ධͦආБҭ
grant for a decanting site at Shek Pai Wan Road which will provide 600 ή೻ҏdጳܔ΍ 600ࡈఊЗٙτໄ܊㡼dཫ
flats by 2023/24. Ultimately, the Yue Kwong Chuen redevelopment will ࠇ׵ɚཧɚɧŊɚ̬ϋംʈfࠠܔܝdဝΈ
provide about 2,000 flats. Ӏධͦਗ਼౤Զߒ2,000 ࡈఊЗf

Thirdly, for the Kwun Tong Garden Estate project at Ngau Tau Kok, with ୋɧࡈࠠܔධͦމˬ᎘ԉᝈ෨ڀ෤ɽขd
the support from the Kwun Tong District Council and affected residents ίᝈ෨ਜᙄึʿաᅂᚤ֢͏ٙ˕ܵɨd۬
for the rezoning of a nearby decanting site at Ting On Street, the Town ̹஝ྌ։ࡰึ͵ʊҭࡘҷྌቌڐ֛τ൑ٙ
Planning Board has approved the planning submission for the site. ɓ෯ήЪτໄ܊㡼ٙ஝ྌ͡ሗf
