Covering an area of about 190m , the Mind-Friendly Home Exploration Цήߒ 190̻˙Ϸٙ౽ʾഛ֢ઞٝd

Centre was designed with professional advices from an Expert Panel ݊ܲኪ٫ʿᔖุطᐕࢪഃଡ଼ϓٙਖ਼։
comprising scholars, occupational therapists and so on. ࡰึٙਖ਼ุจԈணࠇf
The Centre features a mock-up flat with living room, bedroom, kitchen ઞٝணϞᅼᏝ֢d࢝ͪ܄ᝂeွגeᄼ
and bathroom, showcasing how the eight design principles of גձఽהνО˸Ⴉٝღᖟʾഛ֢ٙɞ
dementia-friendly home, namely reducing potential risks unobtrusively; ɽணࠇࡡۆdܼ̍ಯˇᆑίࠬᎈeಯЭᐑ
reducing unhelpful stimulation; creating a familiar space; allowing ྤʍᓔeᐄிᆞٙᐑྤe࢙ᗆйٙண
people to see and be seen; supporting movement and engagement; ࠇeڮආݺਗٙਞၾeԶቇܓٙช֜Ր
optimising helpful stimulation; providing opportunities to be alone or ዧeԶࡈɛʿၾɛʝਗዚึd˸ʿᐄி
with others; and responding to a vision for way of life, could be ౽Ϟהމٙᐑྤf
adopted.
Besides, the Exploration Centre exhibits hi-tech products, as well as Ϥ̮dઞٝ࢝ͪආٙ߅ҦପۜʿʔΝ
different assistive tools and gadgets, such as anti-wandering kit, bed/ ٙ͛ݺႾпʈՈdνԣ༷Ԑɽژ္࿀ኜe
toilet seat sensor, wireless flood detection alarm and assurelink system, ᕎґŊఽؐᙆజኜeೌᇞ˥ऍᙆజኜʿೌ
that offer useful ideas to various dementia patients and their caregivers. ᇞ֢τΌ္࿀ኜഃdމઃ٫ʿᚥ٫

In addition to thematic exhibition, the Exploration Centre will also ৰணϞ˴ᕚ࢝ᚎ̮dઞٝ͵ึ֛ಂމڗ
organise regular guided tours and seminars for the elderly, caregivers, ٫eᚥ٫eኪ͛ʿ౷ᖯɽᑘ፬ኬሧྠ
students and the general public as a means to promote better ʿᑺࢭd˸ᄣආ࿁Ⴉٝღᖟसٙə༆f
understanding towards dementia.
