               Membership of Housing Society                               房協委員
               During the financial year, three new members joined the Housing   ͉ৌ݁ϋܓϞɧΤอ։ࡰ̋ɝג՘dʱй
               Society, namely, Mr Dick Kwok Ngok-chung, Mr Ling Kar-kan   މெ֪׀΋͛eࡗྗා΋͛ʿඹ਷੶΋͛f
               and Mr Conrad Fung Kwok-keung. Dr Fan Cheuk-hung passed away   ᅾՙඪ௹ɻ׵ɚཧɓɖϋɞ˜ʞ˚ᕎ˰d
               and ceased to be a member on 5 August 2017.                 ΪϾৗ΂ג՘։ࡰf

               The Housing Society had 136 members as at 31 March 2018, of whom   ࿚Їɚཧɓɞϋɧ˜ɧɤɓ˚dג՘΍Ϟ
               60 served on the Supervisory Board, the Executive Committee and the   ɓϵɧɤʬΤ։ࡰdՉʕʬɤΤ։ࡰɗ္
               various Committees and the Task Force. A full list of Housing Society   ԫึeੂБ։ࡰึʿ΢։ࡰึձਖ਼பʃଡ଼

               The membership composition of the Supervisory Board and the   ္ԫึʿੂБ։ࡰึٙϓࡰܼ̍ਖ਼ุɛɻe
               Executive Committee comprises a balanced mix of professionals,   ਠޢБ݁ɛࡰʿٟึ؂ਕޢձኪஔޢٙਖ਼
               business executives, and experts in community services and academia.   ࢕f္ԫึʿੂБ։ࡰึϓࡰٙʔΝਖ਼ุ
               The diverse background of members ensures that the Two-tier Board   ߠ౻dᆽڭᕐᄴ၍طݖ࿴Ո௪੭ჯג՘ุ
               has the breadth and depth of skills and expertise required to steer the   ਕ೯࢝ձഄଫ˙Σהცٙ΢˙ࠦҦঐʿਖ਼
               development and the strategic directions of our businesses.  ڗf

               The term of office of members of the Supervisory Board, the Executive   ္ԫึeੂБ։ࡰึʿ΢։ࡰึϓࡰٙ΂
               Committee and the various Committees is normally three years (“year”   ಂஷ੬މɧϋ€ίࠇၑ΂ಂࣛd˜ɓϋ™ܸՇ
               means the period between the two consecutive AGMs for the   ϣஹᚃմϋ։ࡰɽึʘගٙಂගf္ԫึ
               calculation of terms of office). At least one-third of the existing   ʿੂБ։ࡰึЇˇɧʱʘɓତ΂ϓࡰ€຅್
               members of the Supervisory Board and the Executive Committee,   ։ࡰʿג՘ٙБ݁ᐼ൒ࡒੂБᐼ฀ԫৰ̮
               excluding the ex officio members and the Chief Executive Officer and   ඲׵ӊ֣մϋ։ࡰɽึɪৗ΂dᔟϤίַ
               Executive Director of the Housing Society, must retire from office at   ᚃ׌ʿˏɝอАʘග՟੻̻ፅdԨᆽڭ္
               each AGM. This is to maintain a balance between continuity and the   ԫึʿੂБ։ࡰึՈ௪הცٙʑ฀eਖ਼ڗ
               introduction of new blood and to ensure that the Supervisory Board   ʿ຾᜕f္ԫึٙ˴ࢩʿਓ˴ࢩ׵Չɧϋ
               and the Executive Committee have the calibre, skills and experience   ΂ಂʫˡ඲ৗ΂dϾ˼ࡁίᔾ֛ৗ΂։ࡰ
               required. The Chairman and the Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board   ɛᅰࣛ͵ʔ஗ࠇၑίʫf
               are not required to retire and will not be taken into account when
               determining the number of members to retire during their three-year
               terms of office.
